Claudia Slovinsky is widely regarded as one of New York City’s top immigration and nationality attorneys. She has over thirty-five years of experience in the field and founded her firm, Claudia Slovinsky and Associates, PLLC, in 1980. The firm represents businesses, non-profit organizations and individual clients in the full range of immigration and nationality matters.

Ms. Slovinsky, in addition to representing clients, is active professionally in immigration law and policy issues and serves as a teacher, advisor and mentor in the field. She has served as an expert in immigration law in the federal district courts and was on the steering committee of the Judge Katzmann Immigration Study Group, which is dedicated to finding solutions for the problems faced by immigrants who cannot afford counsel in removal proceedings.

In addition, Ms. Slovinsky is a past chair of the Committee on Immigration and Nationality Law of the New York City Bar Association. She is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild. She taught Refugee and Asylum Law at New York Law School for many years, is the author of numerous articles in professional publications, and is a frequent lecturer on immigration issues, both to the immigration bar and lay audiences.

Ms. Slovinsky is herself an immigrant. She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is fluent in Spanish. She graduated from Douglass College (Rutgers University) in 1972 and Rutgers Law School, Newark, in 1975. Prior to establishing her firm, she practiced immigration and housing law in various non-profit legal services programs in New York. She is admitted to the Bar in New York and New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits.

Mr. Kong is an Associate Attorney at Claudia Slovinsky & Associates, PLLC. He has over 25 years of experience working exclusively in the area of immigration and nationality law. His primary field of endeavor is in employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions, including H-1B petitions, L-1 petitions, E-3 applications, TN applications, labor certification applications, national interest waiver for exceptional ability aliens, and extraordinary ability alien immigrant visa petitions. He has represented multi-national companies, businesses, schools, and individuals in various industries, including high-technology, medical, allied health care, restaurants and hospitality, education, construction, and architectural and interior design. Mr. Kong has also represented small business employers in I-9 employer sanctions investigations, litigation and settlement negotiations. His extensive experience in immigration law also includes E-1/E-2 Treaty Trader and Treaty Investor visa applications, R-1 religious workers visa applications, family-based immigrant visa petitions, K-1/2 fiancée, K-3/4 spouse and children of U.S. citizens, V-1/2 spouse of lawful permanent resident nonimmigrant visa petitions, and naturalization applications. He is fluent in English and Cantonese Chinese.

Mr. Kong received his Juris Doctor degree (Cum Laude) from New York Law School in 1996. He is a member of the Bars of New Jersey, New York, District of Columbia, U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, U.S. District Court of the Southern District of New York, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and U.S. Court of International Trade.

Mr. Kong is also a Solicitor of England & Wales, United Kingdom (regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority).

Molly Coe

Molly Coe (she/her) is an associate with Claudia Slovinsky and Associates, PLLC, practicing in many areas of immigration law, including family-based petitions, naturalization, removal defense, and humanitarian forms of relief.

Prior to joining Claudia Slovinsky and Associates, Ms. Coe was a Senior Staff Attorney at Volunteers of Legal Service (VOLS), where she represented immigrant youth and their families in applications for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), Temporary Protected Status (TPS), visas for survivors of domestic violence and other crimes, asylum, derivative citizenship, among other things. In this role she also trained and mentored hundreds of pro bono attorneys.

Ms. Coe began her legal career through an Equal Justice Works Fellowship at VOLS, sponsored by MetLife and Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. Her fellowship focused on providing free legal assistance to undocumented high school students eligible for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) due to parental abuse, abandonment, or neglect.

Ms. Coe received her B.A. from Boston University in 2008 and her J.D. from CUNY School of Law in 2014. She is admitted to the New York State Bar and to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and serves on the AILA New York Chapter USCIS Liaison Committee.
